Northern Virginia Senior Olympics Volunteers

Sportrock Alexandria is hosting the Northern Virginia Senior Olympics for its first-ever Rock Climbing event! We are looking for volunteers to help run the competition. This is your chance to support your climbing community!

Opportunities:

• Check-in Table: No experience necessary!
  • Check climbers off the list and hand them their scorecards and other necessary items
• Judges: Some experience preferred
  • Watch the climbers and mark down their score
  • Instructions will be provided via email before the event date. Verbal instructions will be given before climbing begins
• Scoring: No experience, just simple addition!
  
  • As scorecards are turned in, total the highest score for each of the 3 climbs.
  • A secondary person will add the score to the Google Sheet
• Turnover and Podium:
  • Help lead people to the podium area
  • Help carry any items that may need to be moved (non-heavy items)

Volunteers will receive a free day pass (non-members) or an extra guest pass (members). The perk will be applied after the event ends.

Light refreshments will also be available to volunteers, courtesy of Sportrock!
