Paraclimbing ExhibitionThe Paraclimbing Exhibition will take place on Day 4 of the routesetting clinic and will serve as both a celebratory close to the event and a living demonstration of the work accomplished throughout the week. Unlike traditional competitions, this will be a non-competitive, community-centered showcase. Athletes will be encouraged to climb freely on 8 to 12 routes developed during the clinic, where collaboration, feedback, and personal achievement are prioritized over ranking or scoring.
The Exhibition will serve multiple purposes: it will allow adaptive athletes to engage meaningfully with the climbs created during the clinic; offer setters the chance to see their work in action and receive real-time feedback; and invite spectators, gym members, and community partners to witness adaptive climbing in an inclusive, emotionally resonant format.
Para Routesetting ClinicThe Para Routesetting Clinic at Sportrock Rio is a one-of-a-kind, hands-on training experience designed to build national capacity for inclusive routesetting in the paraclimbing space. Led by Aaron Davis, the country’s leading para routesetter, in collaboration with Climbable, Move United, and a team of adaptive athletes, this four-day event offers route setters the rare opportunity to develop the technical and creative skills needed to serve a broader, more diverse climbing community.
