Sensory-Friendly Climbing is a specially designed meetup for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families. Our goal is to provide a comfortable, inclusive environment where participants can experience the physical and mental benefits of climbing. During these sessions, we lower the lighting and music and staff belayers to ensure a high employee-to-participant ratio.
At our Rio location, Sensory Friendly Climbing is run by The Neighborhood of Maryland. Registration is through their site, using this link.
Any gear not listed here will be provided to participants for no additional charge. If you have your own climbing gear that isn't listed here, you are encouraged to bring it.
