Sportrock’s Competitive Teams (S2, S3, and S4) are for athletes who have already completed our Introduction to Organized Youth Climbing & S1 Skills Building programs. Part of Sportrock progressive youth program, each program level builds on the last, following a clear path of growth rooted in teamwork, discipline, and long-term development. Sportrock has one of the highest performing youth teams in the country, which we are really proud of!

Sportrock has three levels of Competitive Teams:

S2 – Advanced Team (Ages 10–16)
S2 introduces structured training, climbing drills, and strength development in a supportive environment. Athletes begin to train with intention and may start exploring local USA Climbing Competitions.

S3 – Competition Team (Ages 13–19)
S3 refines technique, strategy, and competition readiness through multiple weekly practices, including joint sessions with athletes from all Sportrock locations. Coaches prepare climbers for USA Climbing Competitions and possible transition to S4.

S4 – Professional Developmental Team
S4 is the highest level of commitment in our youth program. Athletes train with precision and consistency, building advanced technical, physical, and mental skills for competition at regional, national, and international levels.
